1.
How is Tae Kwon Do different
from any other martial art?
Martial arts were developed
thousands of years ago as a means for self-defense. Karate and Kung
Fu originated in Japan and China respectively, while Tae Kwon Do is
native to Korea. Tae Kwon Do emphasizes kicks more than other
martial arts, making it the ideal martial art for improving your
child’s coordination, flexibility, speed, balance, and endurance.
2.
Is my child too young to
start?
Through our experience, we
have noticed that children ages three and up will usually have the
best experience in our Tae Kwon Do classes. Starting at age four,
your child can participate in the Little Tigers program which is
specifically designed for young children so that they can get the
attention they need from our instructors. For more information,
check out our Little Tigers
program.
3.
Will my child become more
aggressive?
Your child will absolutely not
become more aggressive. In fact, our classes preach the importance
of self-control and self-discipline. Your child will learn to be
courteous and respectful to other. The instructors at Master Shin’s
will educate your child that Tae Kwon Do is only a form of exercise,
self improvement, and self defense rather than a tool for bullying
others.
4.
Can I take classes with my
child?
You can absolutely take
classes with your child. Starting September 7th 2010, we
are offering a family class every Monday from 7:00-7:50 PM. Many
families find that Tae Kwon Do is the perfect family activity
combining an exhilarating workout with a new and cultural learning
experience all in a safe and friendly environment.

students of all ages and physical abilities. You can be assured that
our instructors take every safety precaution from our thorough
